Hello! I’m Mia, a multimedia artist based in Devon, England, working mainly with oil paint, air-dry clay, and found or recycled materials. Recently, I’ve started exploring ceramics and upholstery, expanding my creative process and letting new mediums guide me.
My practice is rooted in intuition. I thrive when juggling different materials and ideas, allowing loose plans to evolve naturally. Nature is my biggest inspiration — particularly its more mystical, uncanny sides. I’m fascinated by the strange and beautiful details others might find unsettling: double-headed animals, surreal flora, and other oddities that blur the line between reality and imagination.
I tend to blur the line between art and craft, I draw influence from folk art, antiques, and the unexpected charm of discarded objects. My work often features recurring motifs like stars and eyes, making work that feels both otherworldly and familiar. I'm very happy to discuss commissions and am excited to keep evolving my collection of work!
